The Snow Bears have decided to stay with a one day event again in 2009.  It will be a Sunday packed full of the sights and sounds of an awesome snowmobiling event.

Become a fan.

Attention Racers!!

We are excited to tell you the starting line and finish line have been professionally worked over this fall with the help of club members and Rochester Service Company.

This will certainly reduce or eliminate the the "hole" that developed just past the clay area and the "thump" bump at the finish line caused by the drain tiling which was done a couple years ago.  The track will next be drill-seeded in the spring and it should be awesome come race day.

See this web page for directions and swap rules:

The Byron Snow Bears are proud to have as members two of grass draggings fastest men.  2005 HayDays Champion Jerry Fix, Owner of the Yamaha shop (Fix Power Sports) in Byron MN.  Jerry says "With over 25 years of experience in Perfomance Mods, we have raced, built, and worked on every major manufacturers product line."

Jerry is well known in grass drag racing.  He has pushed his Yamaha racing sleds to numerous wins for many years.  His insight, experience & knowledge of this sport has been a real asset to the club as we try to improve our event each year.  Check out his website at: www.fixpowersports.com or email him at:  FIXPOWERSPORTS@SALES.COM

Jerry Fix along with club member Mike Wood were the talent behind the new clay starting line in 2006.  It is awesome!

Also, Snow Bears member John Wheelock, owner of Proline Sports, Has held the title of "Fastest Man on Grass" on his turbo charged, custom built, fully modified Yamaha racing sleds.  John and his wife Pam have both raced grass drag sleds and if you know perfomance - you know Proline and the name John Wheelock.  Look for a link to his site soon.

And lets not forget, Long time Byron Snow Bear club member & snowmobile (snow) racing legend Al Bruggenthies.  Al spent many years racing Ski-Doo snowmobiles.  Al and his wife Marge, then went on to own & operate Al's Specialty Marine in Rochester, MN for many years selling marine equipment and Ski-Doo snowmobiles and ATVs.  Their sons now operate the business.  Al & Marge have a love of life that shows in everything they do.

Being two of the longest members of the Byron Snow Bears, they are certainly an asset to the club.  They have been supporters of every event the club has ever started.  Al seems to have room for every new adventure that comes his way, except  on his his trophy shelf!  Check out there store at:  Al's Specialty Service, Inc.
