EXERCISE  FOR PEOPLE  OVER 50

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at
each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your
sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute,
and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can
lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more
than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

The next Byron Snow Bears meeting will be held June 10th, 2010
 At Oxbow Park

We plan to eat at 6:30
with a meeting at 7:00.

2010 Kid's Cup May 23rd-24th!

Thank you for all your efforts in fundraising this year, and as we say every year, we cannot do this without all of you.

Youth Event - Sunday, May 23rd

Adult Event - Monday, May 24th

May 2009 marked the thirteenth annual event of golfers raising money to help kids have better lives. Over the past thirteen years, Kid's Cup golfers have raised more than $985,000.

Kids Cup began at Willow Creek Golf Course in 1997. (Back then the tournament was called the Miracle Marathon.) It started out as a marathon-format - golfers played until they were too tired to continue.
Lots of things have changed since 1997, but a lot remains the same.
In 2001, Rochester area schoolchildren helped develop a new logo and changed the name to Kid's Cup. The format of play also changed, drawing praise from golfers of all abilities. The tournament today consists of 18 holes of a best ball format at one course and 18 holes of a scramble format at a second course.
All the money raised goes to the kids! 100% of funds raised goes to the Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Golfers pay nothing - just raise $500

All costs, including greens fees, carts, food, etc., continues to be paid by our sponsor, Express Employment Professionals.
